Home / Associated NGOS / Jagriti:

Based in Dwarka, Jagriti Pioneering Society  looks after 17 young girls aged 7 to 16 who have been abandoned by their families. All go to very good schools and live under the responsability of Bikash and Maheshwari. They started the NGO in 2005 with the aim of providing an enriching social and educational environment within a framework as close to family life as possible.

Jagriti has other activities: schooling children and teaching sewing to women from the slums, as well as a medical campaign in underprivileged sectors.

Main Tendue pays part of the girls'school fees, as well as equipment and maintenance of the home.

Main Tendue volunteers visit during weekends and holidays to do activities with the girls. We hope to organise an outing at festival time.
