Home / Associated NGOS / Kamalini:

Kamalini training centres (in Shahpur Jat and Kishangar) were set up by Protsahan, a charitable organization officially recognized by the government since 2003. Their aim is to prepare young women to become financially independent, enabling them to better manage their households by learning in a friendly environment.

Kamalini is designed for women who have stopped studying. These women are mainly migrants from rural areas, domestic staff and more generally women whose education and job opportunities are restricted because of sex discrimination..

Two types of training are available in the centres:

Basic education: with the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) , tutoring and personal development, English and Hindi classes.

Professional training : with pattern cutting and tailoring, basic computer skills, and nutrition, cooking and housekeeping

Main Tendue supports the international cooking courses destined for domestic help., the cutting and tailoring course and the IT course.

Main Tendue Volunteers teach the international cooking course, design new products for the cutting tailoring production centre, as well as give English lessons.
