Home / Associated NGOS / Muskaan:

Established in 1982, Muskaan provides education and vocational training to mentally disabled adults, as well as supporting the parents and raising awareness. Muskaan has recently set up a residential facility in Dera village for adults with disabilities.

Main Tendue has chosen to support the development of the Dera home providing residential care and vocational training. At present there are 15 residents, with major plans for building new eco-friendly infrastructure and a target of 50 residents in the years to come. The facility adopts an empowering model of ‘assisted living’ and is fully integrated into the local community. Immediate plans include financing and setting up a small medical facility which will also be open to the village people.

Main Tendue provides a monthly food parcel to the Dera home.
