Seva Oasis

Home / Associated NGOS / Seva Oasis:

SEVA OASIS was established as a registered NGO in 2001.

This organization takes care of around 60 underprivileged children, aged 3 to 12, in the trans-Yamuna slums of Shahdara and Seemapuri. These children, who do not attend government school on a regular basis, are offered real classroom teaching, every morning from Monday to Saturday, in Hindi, Maths and English. They also learn drawing and how to work and live in a group.

The goal is to allow them to join a school and follow a normal curriculum. The teachers who are living in the same neighborhoods bear witness that many of the children who attended one of Oasis schools have gone on to a government school and got a decent job.

There are 20 such children at Shahdara and 40 at Seemapuri, all aged between 3 and 12 years old.

Main Tendue finances the rent for two of the Seva Oasis centres and give new school supplies and stationery.
